Yala Peak (5,520 m) is one of Nepal's most accessible "first climbs" — a non-technical summit in the breathtaking Langtang valley. With a comparatively short approach and minimal technical demands, Yala is ideal for trekkers wanting their first taste of mountaineering. From the summit, gaze at Langtang Lirung, Shishapangma (the only 8,000 m peak entirely in Tibet) and the Langtang range stretching into the Himalayan distance.
